This policy concerns our browser game and this website. It does not replace the policies of a platform on which you choose to play.
Your garden in your browser
Pocket Bloom stores progress, the current garden and preferences in your browser. It may also keep downloaded game resources and configuration information locally so the game can load and continue. The current browser-save system does not send DictionaryLab a cloud copy of your saved garden.
Local records remain until replaced by the game, removed using the relevant game controls, or cleared by your browser. Browser cleanup, private browsing or changing browser or device can make progress unavailable. The game can use session-only progress when persistent storage is unavailable.
We use storage needed to provide the game and save features you request. Where personal data is involved, processing necessary to provide that requested service is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Technically necessary storage is distinct from optional tracking; we do not use this explanation to permit optional analytics.
Necessary network connections
Your browser downloads the game and requests configuration and operational control information. These connections let the game obtain its content and settings and respond to operational availability or safety controls.
Delivery and infrastructure services receive connection information such as your IP address, request time, requested resource, browser information and technical headers. Such information can be processed to deliver requests, diagnose failures and protect services against misuse. This means that browser-local progress does not mean that no information leaves your device.
We rely on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where processing is necessary to deliver the service you request, and Article 6(1)(f) for our legitimate interests in reliable operation, troubleshooting and protecting services and users. These interests do not authorize unrelated profiling or advertising.
Developer gameplay analytics is disabled
Optional DictionaryLab gameplay analytics is disabled in the current release. Playing does not require consent to developer gameplay analytics.
We do not currently send gameplay observations to a developer analytics collector. If we introduce optional collection, we will first explain its purpose, information, recipients and retention, update the relevant notice and obtain any required permission.
Platforms and service providers
CrazyGames
When you play on CrazyGames, CrazyGames operates the surrounding platform and its platform SDK. Its services may process platform usage and technical information under its own arrangements. Its privacy controls and CrazyGames privacy policy apply separately. Disabling DictionaryLab’s optional analytics does not disable independent platform processing.
Cloudflare and delivery
Cloudflare hosts this legal website and provides infrastructure used for game configuration and control delivery. It processes technical connection and traffic information to deliver and protect those services. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy, including its information for end users.
We have added no analytics scripts, advertising, remote fonts or tracking forms to this legal website. Necessary hosting and security processing still occurs.
Processing locations
Internet delivery and the providers described above can involve processing outside Germany and the European Economic Area. Their policies explain their international processing and safeguards. You can contact us for information about the recipients and safeguards applicable to our processing. This policy does not promise that all technical processing takes place in Germany.
Email and retention
If you email us, we receive the address, message and attachments you choose to send, together with email delivery information. We use these to respond, provide support and handle your request. Please send only information needed for that purpose.
Our support address uses Gmail. Google handles delivery and storage of that correspondence; see Google’s privacy policy for information about its service and international processing.
Service-related correspondence is processed under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where necessary for your requested service. General correspondence relies on Article 6(1)(f), our legitimate interest in answering enquiries. Processing required to meet a legal obligation, including applicable data-rights obligations, relies on Article 6(1)(c).
We keep correspondence and technical information only for as long as needed for the relevant purpose, including resolving an incident or request and complying with applicable legal retention or dispute requirements. We then delete it or remove its identifying information. Provider retention also depends on the relevant service and its operational and legal requirements; we do not claim a fixed deletion period for all provider records.
Your choices and rights
Subject to the applicable conditions, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests, on grounds relating to your particular situation. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
Email dictionarylab@gmail.com. We may ask for information reasonably needed to verify a request. We cannot identify or retrieve a browser-local save merely from an email address, and clearing your browser data does not by itself delete correspondence or records held by a platform.
You may complain to a supervisory authority, including the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, or the authority where you live or work. Contacting us first is optional.
Changes to this policy
We will update the effective date when this policy changes. Material changes to optional collection will be explained before that collection begins. Required permission will be obtained separately; continuing to play is not treated as consent to new optional analytics.
